Bringing Light for Gongoni Orphanage
Together, we can give children in rural Kenya access to light, safety, and a chance to learn after sunset.

The Reality
We’re Josh and Annette Rubin. During our safari in Kenya, we visited the Gongoni Orphanage, that changed us forever. Home to over 800 children, it’s a place filled with potential and bright young minds, despite having very limited resources.
Over the past year, we’ve helped by providing sports equipment and supporting the creation of a hygiene program for girls entering puberty. Before this, many missed school during their period. Now, they can attend with dignity and confidence.
But today, there is a new and urgent need: light.
The orphanage still has no electricity. We are raising $20,000 to finally bring them power, a change that will transform their daily lives and their future.
As parents and grandparents, we ask you to see these children as we did: as part of our shared human family.
Thank you,
Josh & Annette Rubin

Our Mission
I personally know Yossi Abramowitz, the President of Energiya Global. Beyond being a true mentch, he has been nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize for his work operating ten solar farms across Africa. With his guidance, your support goes directly toward installing solar panels in areas where children currently live and study without electricity:
✔ Light for studying
✔ Safety during the night
✔ A brighter future for entire communities
Who we are?
This is a personal humanitarian initiative led by Josh Rubin, in collaboration with Energiya Global. Every dollar donated goes directly to the project, nothing is taken for administration or overhead.
